After visiting a friend in Wyoming, I was inspired by the breathtaking landscape and exciting tales of the Old West. This is a nod to the rugged cowboys who tamed that wilderness.
As the summer months approach, Monarchs make their way north to Canada as part of their yearly migration. Here in Missouri, Monarchs stop over in search of milkweed beginning in late April.
It is always a joy to see the emerald green head of a Mallard drake floating across the lake or flying overhead. Mallards stop over in Missouri during their spring migration, especially near the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers.
